After Care

The life of your tattoo is dependant upon the care it receives in the first few days. First, keep the bandage on no less than 4 hour and no more than 24 hours. When handling your new tattoo always wash your hands!! When removing the bandage, if it sticks, wet the area down with warm water and remove carefully.

Once the tattoo is exposed, wash thoroughly with a mild soap and hot water. Repeat washing 2 more times to be sure that all blood and body fluids are removed. Rinse thoroughly to remove all remaining soap. Pat completely dry and apply your favorite hand lotion no more than 2 to 3 times a day. Do not use anything with perfume or scents in it.

The tattoo will develop a scab similar to a sunburn, let this fall of naturally. When this has fallen off, there will be a period of adjustment for the new skin. It is advisable to continue to apply your hand lotion. Of course, if there was ever a concern of an infection, contact your health care or tattoo professional.

The tattoo is your responsibility after you leave the studio. Please use common sense.
